Position Overview

The Application Support Lead will be responsible for the overall applications dataflow, stability, performance, and health for Lakeland Bank operational applications systems and environments. This includes installation/configuration, operation, monitoring and maintenance of systems and ensuring continual operation, stability, performance, application health, and troubleshooting issues that arise. In coordination with the Information Technology (IT) Project Management Office (PMO), this role will assist in defining project scope, requirements, timeline, and milestones including coordination of resources, purchasing, equipment, logistics, systems analysis, software application support, and vendor management.

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the full life cycle of direct reports including hiring, training, coaching, delegating work, evaluating, compensation recommendations, disciplining and development.
  • Support, monitor and troubleshoot all Lakeland applications under the support teams (ITAS) responsibility.
  • Leading the application support team (ITAS) activities on a day to day operational basis.
  • Overseeing and managing the application support queue in ServiceNow.
  • Provide application and system administration.
  • Coordinate team (ITAS) resources to support daily tasks, deployments and projects.
  • Provide technical guidance as necessary within the team and to other teams as necessary.
  • Manage and oversee the quality of support performed by the team.
  • Motivate and lead direct reports to ensure strict adherence to key performance indicators and service level agreements.
  • Interact with internal teams and external third party vendors to trouble shoot and resolve complex problems.
  • Ensure necessary skills and experience levels are maintained within the team.
  • Provide coverage of core hours as part of a team.
  • Ensure team processes and procedures are documented.
  • Ability to drive to additional work sites using personal vehicles. Company vehicles are available for this purpose, but should not be relied upon.
  • Performs other duties & responsibilities as required or assigned by manager.

Skills Required

  • Associate’s degree in Information Systems or a closely related field from an accredited college or university
  • At least 3 years of experience of managing application support activities in a customer centric environment
  • Hands on experience of supporting business applications with an excellent understanding of core business processes
  • 1 years of management experience
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to multitask and manage a large and varied workload in a sometimes stressful environment.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Sound, accurate judgment and the ability to make timely decisions
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license and possess a clean driving record. Must undergo an annual motor vehicle record check in order to operate company vehicles.
  • Must be willing to use your personal vehicle for work purposes and maintain the appropriate insurance coverage.
  • Must be bondable

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS  

  • A Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or a closely related field from an accredited college or university
  • 5 years of experience managing application support activities
  • 2 years of management experience
